{sneak peek}

for a very patient momma! Here are just a few of many, many great pictures I'm sorting through right now. This little girl has to be the sweetest thing ever! She slept and slept and, well, all she did was sleep and show off those great big cheeks of hers! And, isn't her brother just adorable?!!

{the mountains}

are always breathe taking...aren't they? We were in Estes over the weekend and I got this shot from the car window. This is the back-side of Long's Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. I love Colorado. So, here are a few of the fun little session we had in the mountains. I will post more and maybe even some of my kiddos later.

eta: okay, I've added one of my boys

{mom-preneurs}

Over the last year I have had the privilege of photographing children and their families. I am very blessed to have this opportunity, especially while being a mommy to three young kiddos. I think it's unique to be able to build and own a business that I LOVE and do it mostly through word of mouth.

What I want to to do is feature and support other Mom-preneurs who, like me, created their own business out of a great idea or by doing something they LOVE to do and rely primarily on word of mouth to promote their business. Blogs are a great way to be connected, get your product or service "out-there" and also have some fun! Whether you own a physical store, do your business online through eBay or Etsy, or however you do it, I want to hear about it!

Every month I want to feature a new Mom-preneur and their services or goods offered. So, if you know someone interested or you are someone interested, send me an email at lyndsey@lyndseylewphotography.com and let me know. I will contact you, or your friend, and find out if it's a good fit.

To kick off this new Mom-preneur spotlight......

{meet our first}

Mom-preneur, Cindy Siebert of Music Playgroup. Cindy is a great friend of mine who I've known since before we had kids. Before her little one came along she was a grade school music teacher and was mostly responsible for anything music and kid related at church. She has always been passionate about kids and music so it is no surprise that she has combined those two passions into a great business. With her little one by her side she blesses many, many families with her talent and huge heart. I am honored to have Cindy be my first mom-preneur.

Here is a little 'get-to-know' interview with Cindy....

Please explain a little about your business and why you started it:
Music Playgroup is a place where kids and parents can have fun singing, dancing, playing instruments, playing with parachutes, scarves, having playtime and more! My vision has always been to offer quality classes at an affordable rate so even families with one income can afford to participate.

What makes this business so unique?
It's not only a class but playtime as well. The kids get to stay and play with each other, allowing more interaction and a chance for moms to get acquainted with one another and hang out.
Not to mention Cindy's expertise and amazing talent to teach kids to love music!

How do you balance your family and business?
That is always a challenge but I always remind myself that family comes first and it all works out. My daughter has attended most of my classes since she was a baby, which has been fun. As she gets older she's becoming quite the helper. I think she could probably teach the class - just kidding, she's 4.

Your favorite place to shop on the internet is
amazon.com and craigslist but my favorite link in general is bethany.org

in Ft Collins, we could find you eating at
JeJu - I think that's sushi??

What is your favorite 'find' in Ft Collins?
Summitview Community Church

Do you have a favorite TV show?
I have two - American Idol and Lost

On a lazy day we would find you
definitely on our boat in Horsetooth reservoir skiing, tooling around, camping, parking in a cove with a picnic and sunblock

Thanks Cindy!!! You can find Cindy and a class schedule at www.musicplaygroup.blogspot.com

And now for a contest!
Leave a comment with your name and email and a fun note for Cindy and I will enter your name into a little drawing. Up for grabs is a $25 gift certificate for one of Cindy's sessions this fall. Since the first class starts next Tuesday, if you are already enrolled and win, you will receive a refund. I will randomly draw a winner on October 1st. Good Luck!

{my favorites}

from the session I've been working on. This first one was taken with hardly any light in an attempt to catch this little guy in his element....my camera doesn't handle low light very well but I thought it was still a cute picture!

{good friends}

are such a blessing, aren't they? I've been working on some pictures for my sweet friend and I wanted to show her a sneak, sneak peek at what's to come. SO, here is one picture (because it's late) but I promise there are plenty more to come!! This is the oldest with a bit of sass ;)

{my girl}

well, not quite but close....this little one is very close to our hearts and I think these few pictures capture her sweet personality so well. She is such a great mix of sassy spunk and sweetness - you just can't get enough! AND, she is in love with my husband...if she weren't 2 we'd have a problem ;)

{something new}

thought I would try out some vintage looking pics on the shoot I'm currently working on...and then I added some texture. I'm not really sure if I did the texture right but we think it looks kind a cool?? What do you think?? Only the nice comments please ;)

**edited to add...I put a few more on in the vintage look
